The customer made me do it

Sometimes customers can make you feel like this..

Asking questions and learning is fine.. up to a point. But if you don’t put what you know into action, all that learning has been a waste right?

Right.

Lots of things begin with baby steps and running an business is no different. If you’re having trouble getting the ball rolling, here’s a couple of tips to help you become productive.

Break it down
Look at the task/job as a whole then break it down into smaller steps, don’t aim to complete the entire project in a single day, just one or two smaller tasks is enough to start with.

Plan your day
Following on from the above, setting yourself small daily goals to achieve by making a list or creating a daily planner will help you become more productive.

Quiet please
If you plan to work from home, get yourself away from the active parts of the house. Find an empty room, shut the door and get cracking. Let everyone know that this is work time and you’re not available for the next few hours.

Stick with this and before you know it you’ll be getting your head down, completing projects and running your new business in a professional way.  It worked for me so it should work for others who’ve faced the same problem.

What tips do you have to share for becoming more productive?
